About Me

I always dreamed of being a journalist but never imagined I'd end up editing iconic TV programmes, witnessing historic moments and reporting on some of the biggest news stories of the 21st century.

But that’s what happened.

As a programme editor on shows like BBC Breakfast, Newsround and Match of the Day Kickabout I wrote scripts for some of the BBC’s best storytellers.

My words, their voice.

But I didn’t just write.  I filmed, edited and directed.  Broadcast live from the craziest of locations.  Produced online content and created a brand-new show for kids, from scratch.

It was a blast.

That was then.  Now, I create engaging content and broadcast news of a different kind – your news.

My Approach

This is not about me.  Not at all.  This is about finding your voice, reflecting your personality.  It’s about me giving you confidence, showcasing you and your business in the best possible light.  Letting others see for themselves how brilliant you are.

That’s why I start by getting to know you, your business, your customers and the audiences you want to connect with.  For me, this is key, if I’m to truly step into your world.

It’s also why I only ever take on a small number of clients at any one time.  I offer a personal, bespoke service.  One you can rely on time and time again.

Me

As I ask you to let me into your world, it’s only fair that I give you a taste of mine…

I live in the south, but my roots are firmly planted ‘up north’.

I love nothing more than being in or by water – which is lucky really, as the Thames is literally on my doorstep.

Yoga is my go-to self-care tool.  Being on my mat – total escapism.

Shopping for clothes, my guilty pleasure.  As is reading – anything and everything.

I can’t get through the day without moving my body, coffee or chocolate, but it has to be good… and dark.

 Career Highlights

Being at Obama’s inauguration, the South African World Cup and having a front row seat at London 2012

Taking Newsround to a school in an African shanty town and seeing what that meant to the children there

Interviewing the Royal family at Buckingham Palace

‘Breaking’ into the Parkinson green room to meet Peter Kay and his nan

Taking Chad von Cheeseburger to an England press conference (you had to be there)

Jamie Oliver telling me that my Thai green curry dish (his recipe, not mine) looked a little bit c*ap… and then making me a new one.

The list goes on and on, but despite the glitz and glamour, red carpets and pinch-myself moments, my true career highlights involve ‘normal’ people.  Inspirational, courageous people who let me tell their stories in the hope of helping others.

And the thing I’m most proud of…

Seeing the difference my words have made to entrepreneurs and businesses – elevating their content and connecting them with customers, the media and the world.

Create

When your job is to put together a TV programme or write an article in a matter of hours, you need ideas, vision and the ability to think outside the box. I’m creative, meticulously organised and know exactly how to generate content that stands out from the crowd.

Communicate

Speaking to people on their level in a way they understand is crucial to any business.  To do this, you need to truly get to know your audience and what makes them tick.  I’ve created content for every conceivable audience from toddlers to corporate giants. I know how to captivate, communicate and connect.

Connect

It’s all well and good having creative content that speaks to your audience, but not if you don’t know what to do with it.  With my extensive contact book across the UK media, I know how to get your content the attention it deserves.
